THE WEIGHT OF WATER

My images explore the beauty and transient nature of ice. Through my lens, I capture the intricate details and delicate forms that ice creates during its fleeting presence within familiar, everyday landscapes. As a subject, ice embodies both strength and fragility, permanence and impermanence, reflecting the delicate balance found in nature. Although ice appears solid and enduring, it is constantly changing. This duality reveals a paradox of permanence: while individual formations are temporary, the cycle of ice itself is continuous and enduring. In this way, permanence is not defined by static existence, but by the persistence of change.
